Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 October 2026
In short: no accounts, no cookies set by us, no analytics, no advertising. Your touches are drawn on your screen and never leave your device.
Who we are
TrueScreenTest (truescreentest.com) is operated by [operator legal name — to be supplied]. You can contact us at [contact email — to be supplied].
Touch input and test data
The touch screen test reads the position of your touches, mouse or stylus through your browser so it can draw lines, fill the coverage grid and count simultaneous touches. This happens entirely in your browser. Positions are held in memory only while the page is open, are not saved to your device’s storage, and are not sent to us or anyone else. Closing, reloading or pressing Clear removes them.
The refresh rate and ghosting tests time how often your browser draws frames and read the screen size and pixel ratio your browser reports, to show them on the page. That information stays in your browser. The dead pixel, color, backlight bleed and burn-in tests only display colors and read nothing from your display.
The tools don’t request access to your camera, microphone, location, motion sensors or files. Fullscreen mode uses your browser’s standard Fullscreen feature, which needs no permission and which you can leave at any time.
Cookies and similar technologies
We don’t set cookies and we don’t use analytics, fingerprinting or tracking pixels. If you use the light/dark switch, your choice (the word “light” or “dark”) is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. It is never sent to us, and clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
Server logs from our hosting provider
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc.. Like any website, when your browser requests a page the hosting provider’s servers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. The provider uses this to deliver the site, protect it against abuse and keep it running. We don’t combine this with other data or use it to identify you. See the hosting provider’s privacy policy for how long it keeps logs.
If you email us
If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the UK, the European Economic Area, Canada, Australia and some US states, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you, and to complain to your local data protection regulator. Because we don’t collect test data, there is usually nothing held about you beyond any emails you have sent us. To make a request, email [contact email — to be supplied].
Children
The site doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data, for example by adding advertising or analytics, we will update this page before the change takes effect and revise the date at the top.
